Breakthrough
Breakthrough
was the journal of the Prairie Fire Organizing Committee (PFOC),
published by the John Brown Book Club from 1977 to 1995. It documents
PFOC’s efforts toward “revolutionary anti-imperialist, Marxist-Leninist
politics and practice as a necessary part of building communist
organization.” Its topics include international solidarity; the struggle
to free political prisoners and prisoners of war; the American Indian
Movement; the struggle for the liberation of New Afrika and Puerto Rico;
women’s and gay/lesbian liberation. The collection includes: Issues of Breakthrough,
the political journal of the Prairie Fire Organizing Committee (PFOC),
published from 1977 to 1995, and other documents published by PFOC.
